Rev. Dr. Warren Dillon

Founder/Director of Admissions

Born in a small town, and given a big Assignment, Dr. Warren Dillon, of Vacherie, LA has impacted thousand’s with his drive and desire to be used of God in “such a time as this”.

With a B.S. of Science Mathematics from Southern University A&M College (Baton Rouge, LA) and a Master of Arts in Psychology from Georgia University (Carrollton, GA) Dr. Dillon started his professional career as an Systems Engineer with IBM in 1968.   After thirty years of service to the corporation, he retired to fully answer the call of God upon his life and was officially ordained in ministry in 1985.

Along with his call, Dr. Warren Dillon continued his education to receive both a Master’s and Doctorate of Theology from Gwinnett Hall Baptist College (Lawrenceville, GA).  His most recent educational accomplishment was receiving his Doctorate of Ministry from Luther Rice University in 2015.

He has served and continues to devote himself relentless to tending the Father's vineyard. Some of his expansive service includes:

  • Associate Minister of Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Roswell, GA) 1985-1987,

  • Pastor of Cole Street Missionary Baptist Church (Marietta, GA) 1987-1989,

  • Founder/Senior Pastor of In His Image International Christian Church (Marietta, GA) 1989-present.

  • Senior Chaplin for the Cobb County Police Department (2000-2003)

  • Spiritual Leader for Kairos Prison Ministry (2000-present)

Along with his late wife, Velma Dillon who is no novice, as she retired from Rollins Inc., the Dillon’s co-Founded:

  • In His Image Learning Center (1992-present),

  • In His Image Christian Academy-Grades K-12 (1998-present),

  • Reach One International Missions, Inc. (R.O.M.I.) (1999-present)

In 1997, Dr. Warren Dillon acted upon his hearts cry for Africa, by joining the mission field as the Director of "Providence World Missions Africa" (Marietta, GA/Uganda, East Africa).  He went on to negotiate a partnership with the "International Mission Board (IMB)" for a short-term missionary placement and the rest is history.

From there, Dr. Dillon walked into his calling for missions as he partnered with organizations such as "Compassionate International" and "Food for the Hungry" to engage the youth of the villages as well as adopting villages to support in the Busuga District.  It was during this time also that the “Buy A Goat Program” was implemented for orphans and widows in the villages of Nagalama and Kayango, Uganda.  To help bring support to the region, Dr. Dillon coordinated a music concert featuring world renowned Inspirational Gospel Artist Babbie Mason in Kampala and Kayango.

After stumbling upon this newfound passion, R.O.M.I. (Reach One Mission International) was born.

In 1999, this organization was official registered as an NGO in Nairobi, Kenya.  R.O.M.I. has since produced yearly evangelistic and medical trips to remote islands of Uganda, carrying over $250,000 USD in supplies to deprived individuals.  Also in the village of Kayango, R.O.M.I. has built a church, and elementary school as well as dug fresh water wells.

One of the great accomplishments of R.O.M.I. in Uganda has been a farm developed in the heart of war-beaten Gulu Town.  This farm and pond is bringing life and hope to a people who are forced to endure terror all around them.  Producing such things as sunflower seeds, rice, Aloe Vera, sesame seeds, and passion fruit, the farm gives the people of Gulu Town nourishment as well as hope through business opportunities and ventures.

Dr. Warren Dillon alongside his late wife Velma and youngest daughter Shaina, later went over to stay over one year in Nairobi, Kenya where they oversaw the completion of the most prized accomplishment of R.O.M.I., Saint Margaret All-Girl Secondary School.  The school is located in Homa Bay, Kenya where currently 100 young ladies are housed and educated in a modern facility of classrooms, laboratories, student dormitories, cafeteria, and staff houses.

During his stay in  Kenya, Dr. Dillon worked with the Masai Tribe in implementing a Food Program for their villages as well as providing leadership training, educational skills, and business planning for the Kibera Shims (a slum of Nairobi).

Dr. Dillon also worked closely with World Harvest International Church, Apostle Martin Ssuna where he attended during his tenure in the country.

Even in the face of danger, Dr. Dillon has pressed forward to answer the call of God…

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost"

-Matthew  28:19

He has trekked into Rwanda to help support one hundred-fifty orphans while the stench of death still filled the air after the horrific genocide of 1994 as the people in desperation of aid continued to cry out.  Dr. Dillon also dared to voyage on a fact finding journey to plant a church in the Congo during the heat of their Civil War!  Dillon has even partnered and traveled with Pioneer Outreach Mission Group (Al Heflin, Evangelistic Missionary) where he physically aided in helping to build a church and a medical facility in Peru, South America. Here, he also had the opportunity to preach the Word of God along the Amazon River where the miraculous took place; life’s were healed, captives were set free, and the dead was raised back to life by the Spirit of the Living God.

Dr. Warren Dillon has taught, and continues to do so, in numerous capacities.  He performs as:

  • Professor of Biblical Studies at Gwinnett Hall Baptist College (1997-present)

  • Headmaster/Instructor of In His Image Christian Academy (1995-present)

  • Host of “His Image” Radio Broadcast (1985-1997)

  • Founder of IHIBII (In His Image Bible International Institute) (2010-present)

  • Facilitated numerous seminars, workshops, and revivals throughout Georgia, Louisiana, Jamaica, and East Africa.

Truly Dr. Warren Dillon and his family are living up to a standard of excellence and fulfilling the Assignment God has commissioned them to complete:

In His Image Ministry, Inc. endeavours to make disciples in all areas and among all people to fulfill the Great Commission, providing vision, strategy, and training in prayer evangelism, and discipleship.
